Have you ever taken a short cut & gone the long way round?

BIKED

1. EXT. BUS STOP - DAY

STEVE waits at the bus stop. BIKE THIEF approaches on a bike.

 BIKE THIEF

            D’ya wanna buy a bike?

 

STEVE

            No.

BIKE THIEF

            A tenner?

Steve hesitates and looks at the bike.

...curses. He puts the bike up against a wall and considers leaving it, but looks at it, contemplating.

 

WOMAN 2 approaches. She is carrying quite a few jumble sale type clothes and household goods in bags.

WOMAN 2

           I’m glad you like it. If you want to make a donation,

           that’s fine.

 

STEVE

           What?

 

WOMAN 2

           The bike. It’s one of those we gave away earlier. We’re

           doing ‘random acts of human kindness, to make a better world’.

           Look, it has . . .
